Layouts and Routes

Folders are addresses: a layout around every page, a nested layout for one section, a [slug] parameter and an error page.

How It Works

A folder under src/routes is an address, and its +page.wisp is the page.

src/routes/+layout.wisp wraps every page with the header, and <slot /> is where the page goes. src/routes/notes/+layout.wisp nests inside it and adds the list of notes. It builds links with routes::notes_slug(n.slug), a helper made from the folder names.

src/routes/notes/[slug]/+page.wisp matches one segment, which arrives as the slug variable. Its --- block calls notes::find(&slug) and returns error(404, ...) when there is no such note. The data lives in src/notes.rs.

src/routes/+error.wisp draws that 404 with ${status} and ${message}.

Try it in the preview: open a note, then type /notes/nope in the address bar.

Type to search every docs page and heading.
